AVAILABILITY SCHEDULE  ~  BOOK IT

As central as it gets. Huge windows overlooking the canal. One bedroom plus loft. Ideal for two, sleeps 3-4 easily. Air conditioning to keep you cool during brutal Moscow summers. Extra heaters for winter.

$120/night, $700/week, $2000/month. Payment by cheque or PayPal. No cash transaction is required.

Booked? Hotels in the immediate vicinity of my apartment offer much less for $180-500 but if you insist on the Zamoskvorechye neighbourhood and my place is not available here is a list of hotels next door in the immediate vicinity.

Too expensive? The cheapest apartment on my list and probably as low as you will find in Moscow is my friend Alexandra’s right by Metro Alexeyevskaya. $90/night, $500/week, $1500 per month, $3600 for the entire summer. Available SUMMERS ONLY for the time being. Detail here >>

Direct from the landlord. Yes, from me, Paul Voytinsky (normally addressed here in Russia as “дядя Паша”, or “uncle Pasha”), the owner of this and several other resources focused on assistance to brave souls travelling to Russia. My business grew out of my own trip here back in 1993, when I had ample opportunity to see for myself just how important it is to have access to competent and comprehensive support. If you want to know about me and my associates, start with www.unclepasha.com. My attempt to present all-around traveller assistance as one coherent concept can be found at www.oldmanfriday.com

Last minute discounts possible. Watch out for announcements. See the Availability schedule below. If you fit nicely into a hole in the schedule the place is yours at a discount. Reasonable offers always welcomed but keep in mind that the place is already priced below what the market would let me get away with.

Direct from the owner means minimal communication mishaps and misunderstandings, and of course no commissions, switcheroos or other surprises and annoyances. I arrange the deal, I personally meet you in most cases, I take care of the place, I do your registration if required etc. etc. Read this description, check availability and references, ask questions (use the form below to contact me), voice special needs or concerns, make a deposit, and the deal is sealed. Easy.

BOOK IT

THIS IS A NON-SMOKING APARTMENT. Rules and limitations are very few and only aim to make the place safe and comfortable for you and other travellers.

Arrival and departure time is flexible. Storing your bags no problem.

Unlike most, my apartment provides comfortable working environment that includes a large desk, an office chair, a computer, and a printer. And, of course, fast unlimited internet with Wi-Fi. It is set up as a home office with a working traveller in mind.

What else? Here is a glimpse of the neighbourhood. The building is the 5-story grey one on the other side of the canal. Build in 1903, when construction was done around the person, not the person squeezed into a box as it was during the Bolshevik era.

SEE A **SMALL** HOLE IN THE SCHEDULE? MAKE ME AN OFFER!

Booked? I’m actively looking for similar offers in the same area of Moscow. For the moment the best I can do is point to this list of hotels in the immediate neighbourhood >>

Or, if you are looking for a place to stay in the summer, try Alexandra’s apartment near Metro Alexeyevskaya. It is also cheaper and closer to parks, and will probably better suit a family with children. More info, including lots of photos of the apartment and area >

The Moscow downtown is perhaps as pedestrian and bike friendly as it ever gets in Russia. One bicycle – and almost antique Sputnik from early 70s – is assigned to the apartment and two more – a light and comfortable standard, and a heavy-duty hybrid – can be made available provided you pay in advance and leave clear instructions what to do with what’s left of you in case – knock on wood – you do fall victim to Moscow drivers.

You can use this form to e-mail me. If I’m online (see the upper left corner) I’ll respond right away. If not expect to hear from me within hours. My number is +7 985 217 3241 and the phone is on 24/7 for me to be within reach in case of emergency.

  1. I’ve repented. Down with my detailed ultra-realistic descriptions! I’ve invited Anton Mihalev, known in artistic and theatre circles for his photography and composition skill, to make a series of proper modern photos you can see above. The last neutral description in “my” style is at http://cheap-moscow.com/blog/accommodation/apartments/studio/ and the last version done for the Misery Travel (c) concept is.. probably not a good idea to point to it since those who would fall for the above attempt at glamour will certainly not appreciate my trademark “negativity”. But fans of latter don’t worry, I haven’t changed but am merely refining the art of being double, triple, or multi-faced.

  2. Pasha using superlatives! I didn’t know you could. Impressed. Almost shocked. What is the world coming to if Pasha called something “fabulous”. If you managed to make a living while doing all do chaise clients away I’m scared to think of success awaiting you with this new attitude. NOTICE THAT I BOTH RENTED FROM PASHA AND GOT HIM TO DO MY TRAVEL AND OTHER ARRANGEMENTS AND CAN ONLY PRAISE HIS EFFECTIVENESS AND INVENTIVENESS. NO ONE DELIVERS BETTER VALUE. MY COMMENT CONCERNS HIS STYLE AND ONLY HIS STYLE. And I’m truly sorry to see him become like everyone else. But I understand that the vast majority cooing of the above sort.
